Volunteer for Your Chapter!
Like all non-profit groups, SCV-CAMFT is always in need of volunteers. We need volunteers to survive and to thrive. If you are inspired to join our team of dedicated and giving volunteers, please read about the opportunities below.
Here is a list of some current needs. If you have a skill that you want to use to support our mission, please fill out the application and/or contact us - mail@scv-camft.org or call 408-721-2010. Volunteer descriptions
INFO ON JOINING THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS!
Budget Committee
- Assist treasurer with annual budget
- Assist treasurer with auditing of the books
Membership Outreach Committee
- Assist director of membership in recruiting and retention of members
- Recommend schools or events were recruiting events can take place
- Table at membership events
- Help board member during social networking events and coffee talks
- Make phone calls to new members
- Make phone calls to lapsed members
Events
- Coordinate with director of programs
- Assist at the registration table
- Set-up and break-down registration tables and giveaways
- Hold time cards for presenter
- Welcome event attendees
- Research possible event venues
- Assist director of programs with planning future events and contacting presenters
DEI
- Work with director of diversity to reach and influence in regard to our DEI efforts
- Assist set-up and breakdown in cinema therapy club
- Assist planning of DEI column and social media posts
Technology
- Work with director of technology to assist in duties as needed
- Set-up video and audio for hybrid events
- Research technical needs for the chapter
- Maintain electronic events equipment
- Assist with social media posts
- Assist with website issues
- Assist with storage issues
Editorial Committee
- Work with director at large to produce the newsletter
- Write articles and blogs
- Take photos at events
