EVENT Participation agreement

Event Liability Waiver

Event registrants acknowledge that attending an in person event involves risks, including but not limited to the risk of illness, injury, or other unforeseen incidents. Attendees to any SCV-CAMFT event voluntarily assume all risks associated with their participation.

All attendees release, waive, and discharge SCV-CAMFT, its officers, employees, volunteers, and affiliates from any claims, demands, or actions arising from their participation in the event, except in cases of gross negligence or intentional misconduct.

Continuing Education

SCV-CAMFT is approved by the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists to sponsor continuing education for LMFTs, LPCCs, LEPs, and/or LCSWs as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (CAMFT CE Provider #052466). SCV-CAMFT maintains responsibility for our program/course and its content.

To obtain your CE certificate for an online event, you must remain present and logged into the event for the entirety of the presentation. For in person events, you must sign-in and sign-out at the event. All attendees must complete a program evaluation, which will be emailed within 2 weeks after the event. Upon completion of the evaluation, the certificate will download to your computer. You need to add your name and license number and save it. If you miss any of the presentation, you will not be eligible for CE credits.

Refunds/Cancellations

• Refund requests for in person events are accepted if received 1 week prior to the event.
• Refund requests for all-day or 6 CE credit workshops will incur a $30 administrative fee.
• Refund requests for online events are accepted if received 24 hours before the start of the event. In the event SCV-CAMFT encounters technical difficulties, refunds for online events may be granted outside this time frame on a case by case basis. 
• To request a cancellation, send an email to mail@scv-camft.org. 
• Refunds will be issued within ten (10) business days.

Chargebacks

We encourage you to contact SCV-CAMFT at mail@scv-camft.org before initiating a chargeback. If a dispute arises and services have not yet been provided, we will gladly issue a refund. If services have already been provided and a chargeback is successfully processed, we reserve the right to re-bill you for the cost of the services, along with a $25 administrative fee.

Photo Release

Attendees at any SCV-CAMFT event grant SCV-CAMFT permission to use photographs of them taken during the event to be used for marketing, educational, and informational purposes. If an attendee does not agree to SCV-CAMFT using a photograph of them, it is the responsibility of the event attendee to not be photographed, or to express their wishes to the photographer. 

Presentation Disclaimer

Views expressed in SCV-CAMFT presentations are those of the speaker and not, necessarily, of SCV-CAMFT. SCV-CAMFT can not be held liable for any damages arising from recommendations or advice given by our speakers or any actions or decisions arising out of the content of these presentations. Presentations at SCV-CAMFT events do not constitute an endorsement of the vendor or speaker's views, products or services.

Registration

Register online using your MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Discover. We do not accept checks.  Walk-ins are welcome at our in person events, however meals and seating is not guaranteed. 

Accommodations for Disabilities

SCV-CAMFT is committed to providing a presentation that is accessible to all who wish to attend. If you have a special need and plan to attend, please notify us at mail@scv-camft.org. Requests must be made two weeks in advance. 

Grievances

SCV-CAMFT works hard to assure fair treatment for all participants and attempts to anticipate problems. There may be occasional issues which will require intervention and/or action on the part of the board of directors. Grievances should be put in writing and mailed to the board at SCV-CAMFT Board, 4546 El Camino Real B10 #814, Los Altos, CA 94022.
