Dear SCV CAMFT Members,

What if the path to deeper cultural understanding began right here, with us?

We're launching Cultural Field Guides, an exciting new program where you—our amazing community of therapists—become the teachers, sharing the cultural experiences that light you up and shape who you are.

Picture this: leading fellow therapists to break a Ramadan fast together, celebrating Diwali's Festival of Lights, experiencing Cinco de Mayo with mariachi and folklorico dancing, joining a Pride celebration, lighting candles during winter solstice to welcome back the light, collecting herbs and flowers at Midsummer, sharing Burns Night with haggis and poetry, or exploring any tradition that speaks to your heart. These aren't just events—they're bridges to understanding the rich tapestries of each other's and our clients' lives.

Your offering can be as simple or as elaborate as you'd like—whether it's a quiet tea ceremony, an intimate crafting session in your home, or an immersive cultural experience. What matters most is your authentic sharing.

Every culture you share deepens our collective wisdom. When you guide others through your traditions, you're not just opening doors to new experiences; you're enhancing our ability to connect authentically with the diverse communities we serve.

We're currently seeking proposals for Spring 2026, Summer 2026, and Fall 2026. Whether you envision an intimate gathering of five or a vibrant group of twenty, we'd love to hear your vision. While we may not have the capacity to accommodate every proposal, we're committed to trying and will work with you to explore what's possible. We'll support you every step of the way—from planning logistics to promoting your experience.
