Mentees can be licensed or
pre-licensed as a trainee in their practicum or a registered associate.
Participation is voluntary.
No compensation, monetary or
otherwise, is permitted.
No credit for continuing education
is granted for the mentorship.
Mentorship is not therapy,
supervision, internship hours, or client/case consultation.
No legal or ethical advice is to
be provided.
Engagement in business ventures
with the mentor or mentee during the mentoring engagement is not permitted.
Engagement in the program is
self-directed, by mutual agreement.
Engagement ends at the agreement
termination date, or at any time initiated by either party.
If difficulty or disagreement
arises, and the engagement becomes unsatisfactory, we request that the mentor
and mentee reach out to the mentorship program manager or SCV-CAMFT.
Either mentor or mentee can decline
to pursue a match, or terminate the engagement.
