Facilitated by Juliann Halvorsen, LMFT

When we accompany clients through chronic illness, dementia, suicide, loss and other profound suffering, we confront limits — of medicine, of hope, of control. This group creates space for clinicians to process the emotional and existential impact of high-acuity work, share wisdom, and find renewed connection to purpose, compassion, and the honor of holding space with clients along this journey.

The group leaders have experience and expertise working with traumatized populations and look forward to growing with other clinicians who share a passion of authenticity, when we need it the most.

Non-members are welcome to attend two of our support groups before joining the chapter.

Meetings are online, and we meet on the first Thursday of the month from 6:00 - 7:00 PM. The video link is provided when you register.

About the Facilitator

Juliann holds a Masters degree in counseling psychology from Holy Names University and has practiced as a certified massage therapist for 10 years. She has been working at Cancer CAREpoint for the past 5 years, specifically working with cancer patients and their loved ones, exploring the ripple effect it has on one's life. The working knowledge of physical and mental health has provided the chance to work with people at one of the darkest times of their lives, building innate strength, creating mind/body awareness as well as the chance to help people medically advocate for themselves.

NOTE: Download and read this document before attending a group meeting. If no one shows up after 15 minutes the group will be cancelled.
