About My Therapy

Personal Statement
Ahoy! I nurture a humble private practice in San José. I welcome all folks who are interested in realizing their best hopes and learning new qualities about themselves that could optimize their lives. I’ve positive experiences working with high achievers - folks whom the world typically sees as successful and least expect as having any worries, anxieties, insecurities, doubts... I tend to see older adolescents and young adults, mid-career professionals, folks in life transition, and transgender folks and families. I've trained in Brainspotting, CBT and TEAM CBT, crisis & suicide intervention, hypnotherapy, and other techniques targeting trauma. People with whom I work say they see me as a warm therapist who is accepting and affirming. For right now, I see myself as an integrative clinician who practices collaboratively to create a space safe enough for people to heal themselves.
Board Member Bio
Ahoy! I’m Brandon and feel honored to be back serving on your SCV-CAMFT board as Director of Technology. I hope to do well by what the title suggests because I’m simply a person who has fun fiddling with wires, curious to be creative, and the person "least-intimidated" by technology right now - sooo if that sounds like you too, maybe you’ll enjoy getting involved! (Let’s meet over a hot chocolate, my treat!) As a therapist, I nurture a small private practice working for adults, older adolescents, parents, ...most any folks experiencing life and identity transitions. I practice from a place of gender and identity affirmation that is trauma informed and focuses on folks’ strengths and adaptations. I integrate Brainspotting, mindfulness, hypnotherapy, CBT, and various techniques as appropriate. I formally studied Counseling Psychology at Santa Clara University with an emphasis in Corrections and added coursework in Health. Prior to that, my life remembers teaching elementary and middle grades, researching family violence and K-12 school curricula, and being employed at a flower shop, on a fresh-tree lot, in a medical DNA lab, and aboard ambulances. Personally, I prioritize my spouse and children, a perpetual yoga practice, exploration - foods and chocolates in particular. Folks have said they receive me as warm and accepting, but I hope for the opportunity to learn how I may best receive you. Thank you for the opportunity to serve your SCV-CAMFT board!
