About My Therapy

Personal Statement
The breadth of my experience has focused on supporting youth and families with managing transitional stages of life, improving self-efficacy, identity development, communication, and strengthening interpersonal relationships; however, I welcome diversity in my practice and enjoy providing individual psychotherapy to adults, just as much as I do teens and their families.

My style begins with getting to know you and the various aspects of your life from a family systems lens. Throughout our process, we will bring greater awareness to your family of origin, culture, values and beliefs, to deepen insight and draw on the significance of your past to inform the changes you'd like to make in the present. As a staff clinician of The Wise Mind Institute, I am strengthening my proficiency in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), providing comprehensive DBT to adult clients through individual psychotherapy, skills classes, and phone coaching.
Board Member Bio
As the elected Director of Membership, Rachel's goal is to build community and connection for our SCV LMFTs and affiliates. She hopes to expand our network through outreach events, provide a supportive welcoming to our new members, and foster opportunities for feedback so that our programs and services can be more attuned to the needs of our community.

Rachel's experience in the field includes working within the community providing services for underserved populations, managing a Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS) adjunctive service as Program Coordinator, and presently working in a group practice that specializes in providing DBT to adults and adolescents.
